Despite the low scoring match there was plenty of excitement as we enjoyed a real arm wrestle with our visitors. The scoreboard remained unused at the break with both sides coming close and the visitors opting to go for tries rather than penalties when the opportunity arose. On the hour mark we had our own opportunity for a simple three points but we too opted for the bigger prize. This time it payed off and a string of further penalties allowed us to make room out wide from where Forrow found Owen for a 5-0 lead. Things almost got even better a few minutes later when Currie found her way over but the score was chalked off by the touch judge. The final fifteen or so saw us have to batten down the hatches as Bridgwater poured forward looking for a draw or better. With ten to go they did just this despite our best efforts and scored a try of their own. Kindly, as our conversion had, the elements played their part in the kick and it missed leaving the game all tied. Despite some late nerves from both sides no more points were available and the match finished honours even.
