James Mattin made his 50th 1st XV appearance when he started at scrum half in our recent victory against Wadebridge. James has played the majority of his games as one of our halfbacks making 38 apperance in either the nine or ten shirt. The remainder of his gametime for the 1st XV has come from either fullback or via the bench. In the 21/22 season he led the side in points scored racking up 187 and this season he leads the charts again with a whopping 267. Most of these points have come via the tee but he does have an impressive twenty tries at a rate of one every two and a half games to his name. Of the games he's started (43) Topsham have only lost a mere three times.
